Fly with a Friend: a live two-player paper plane race
Fly with a Friend is Daily Flight's multiplayer mode. Two players share a room, tap Ready, and fly the exact same obstacle course at the exact same moment. The last plane still in the air wins the round. It works across phones, tablets and desktops, and nobody needs to install anything.

How to set up a race
- Open the Friend tab on the Daily Flight home screen.
- Create a room. The game gives you a 5-character room code.
- Share it. Tap share invite to send a link through WhatsApp, iMessage, Discord or any other app, or tap copy and paste the code yourself. The invite link looks like
daily-flight.com/?match=CODE. - Your friend joins. Opening the invite link drops them straight into your room. If they only have the code, they type it into the Join box; the room opens as soon as the fifth character goes in.
- Both tap Ready. A short countdown runs, both planes launch together, and the course is identical for both of you. When one plane crashes the other keeps flying until it crashes too, and the longer flight wins the round.
After a round you can both tap Rematch for an instant rerun on a fresh course, or leave the room.
Why it is a fair duel
- Identical course. Both players get the same sequence of obstacles, generated from the shared room, so there is no luck in the layout.
- No power-ups. Extra lives, slow-mo and auto-boost only exist in Free Flight. A friend match is pure flapping.
- Gentler difficulty curve. Friend matches cap the difficulty ramp lower than the daily course, so rounds are about reading the course together rather than surviving a sprint.
- Classes still count. You climb the Class 1 to Graduate ladder on the normal thresholds, so a long duel is also a chance at a personal milestone.
Friend codes and the friends leaderboard
Separately from live rooms, every player, guests included, has a 6-character friend code under Friends in Settings. Share it and the other player can add you, after which the Friends filter on the Ranks tab shows only people you know, on both the daily and all-time boards. A friend code is permanent; a room code lasts only for that session.
Tips for winning a race
- Watch your own plane, not your rival's. Glancing across the screen is the most common way to clip a pencil.
- Fly steady rather than greedy. The round goes to the longer flight, not the higher score, so stars are not worth a risk.
- Agree on best-of-three. Rematches are one tap, and the first round is often a warm-up.
