About Daily Flight
Daily Flight is a free, independent browser game. You fly a paper plane through a line of stationery with one button, and the course is new every day and identical for everyone who plays it. It launched on 17 August 2026 and is made by one person.
What it is, in one paragraph
Daily Flight is a daily challenge game built on a one-button arcade core. Tap or press space to flap a paper plane; thread the gaps between pencils, pens and rulers; grab stars for bonus points. Each calendar day has exactly one obstacle course, generated from the date so that every player in the world gets the same layout and the same Easy, Medium or Hard rating. You get three attempts (plus one via a short ad), your best score goes on a global leaderboard, and flying every day builds a streak. There is also unlimited practice (Free Flight) and a live two-player race mode (Fly with a Friend). It runs at daily-flight.com with no download and no required account.
Why it exists
Endless arcade games tend to reward whoever has the most spare time: play enough random runs and eventually one goes well. Daily games like Wordle showed a different rhythm, one shared puzzle, a few minutes, a result you can compare with the people you know. Daily Flight brings that rhythm to a dodge-the-obstacles flying game. Because everybody flies the same course on the same day with the same three attempts, the leaderboard is a fair comparison of skill rather than of stamina.
Design notes
- A notebook on a desk. The whole game is drawn as stationery: ruled paper, a red margin, hole punches, washi tape, hexagonal pencils, a tic-tac-toe game doodled in the corner. Results arrive as a school report card with remarks.
- Classes instead of levels. Progress in a run is measured as Class 1 through Class 12 and then Graduate, earned only by obstacles passed. Stars raise your score but never your class, so the ladder is honest about distance flown.
- One fixed clock. The course resets at midnight US Eastern for everyone so that "today" is the same day worldwide and the daily board stays fair.
- Nothing to buy. The game is supported by optional rewarded ads (a bonus attempt, a revive) and a small banner on the web. There are no purchases and no paid advantages.
- Deterministic fairness. Difficulty is derived from the day number, never chosen by hand, so no day is tilted toward anyone.

How it is built
Daily Flight is a single-page web game drawn on an HTML canvas, hosted on Firebase Hosting, with Firebase Authentication (Google sign-in), Firestore for leaderboards, friends and live rooms, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for optional reminders. The Android build wraps the same game with Capacitor. The course generator is a seeded pseudo-random sequence keyed to the day number, which is why the same code produces the same course on every device.

Daily Flight posts the day's course, difficulty and score to beat on Instagram three times a day. Search for #DailyFlight to find the posts and other players' runs.
